I know, I know

it's been awhile, right?! Well, I have been busy keeping my proverbial (RT, how about that 5 dollar word) head above water here at work. It has been really slow in the sales dept. but busier than a one legged man in a butt kicking contest here on the service side of things! Anyways, my Bro-in-law sent me an e-mail, that at first looks funny but then I start to reflect (Julie, that means to think about) on it and found that it was sad really. I could see the dems and our retarded President ( and I say that with all due respect, snort) would try and ram this down our throats too! So without further ado, and a h/t to Andy here it is:

Washington, DC - President Barack Obama and the Democrat controlled Congress is considering sweeping legislation that will provide new benefits for many Americans. The Americans With No Abilities Act (AWNAA) is being hailed as a major legislative goal by advocates of the millions of Americans who lack any real skills or ambition.

'Roughly 50 percent of Americans do not possess the competence and drive necessary to carve out a meaningful role for themselves in society,' said California Senator Barbara Boxer. 'We can no longer stand by and allow People of Inability to be ridiculed and passed over. With this legislation, employers will no longer be able to grant special favors to a small group of workers, simply because they have some idea of what they are doing.'

In a Capitol Hill press conference, House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid pointed to the success of the U.S. Postal Service, which has a long-standing policy of providing opportunity without regard to performance. Approximately 74 percent of postal employees lack any job skills, making this agency the single largest U.S employer of Persons of Inability.

Private-sector industries with good records of non-discrimination against the Inept include retail sales (72%), the airline industry (68%), and home improvement 'warehouse' stores (65%). At the state government level, the Department of Motor Vehicles also has an excellent record of hiring Persons of Inability (63%).

Under The Americans With No Abilities Act, more than 25 million 'middle man' positions will be created, with important-sounding titles but little real responsibility, thus providing an illusory sense of purpose and performance.

Mandatory non-performance-based raises and promotions will be given so as to guarantee upward mobility for even the most unremarkable employees. The legislation provides substantial tax breaks to corporations that promote a significant number of Persons of Inability into middle-management positions, and gives a tax credit to small and medium-sized businesses that agree to hire one clueless worker for every two talented hires.

Finally, the AWNAA contains tough new measures to make it more difficult to discriminate against the non-abled, banning, for example, discriminatory interview questions such as, 'Do you have any skills or experience that relate to this job?'

'As a Non-abled person, I can't be expected to keep up with people who have something going for them,' said Mary Lou Gertz, who lost her position as a lug-nut twister at the GM plant in Flint , Michigan, due to her inability to remember 'rightey tightey, lefty loosey.' 'This new law should be real good for people like me,' Gertz added.

With the passage of this bill, Gertz and millions of other untalented citizens will finally see a light at the end of the tunnel.

Said Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL): 'As a Senator with no abilities, I believe the same privileges that elected officials enjoy ought to be extended to every American with no abilities. It is our duty as lawmakers to provide each and every American citizen, regardless of his or her inadequacy, with some sort of space to take up in this great nation and a good salary for doing so.

nice huh?!

You've got to be kidding me!!

Okay, I haven't even looked yet to see if any of my brother and sister bloggers have even posted anything about this but I have just about had enough and Jan.20th hasn't even come yet!

Where do we draw the line between being excited about history to be made, and turning the office of the Presidency into a circus. I don't know, maybe I am overreacting here, but for Topps to make trading cards out of this is just going to far in my opinion.

I mean where is it going to stop. Is Parker Bros. going to get into the mix now. Maybe, Mobamanopoly. Instead of free parking you get your car payment paid for you. But, the luxury tax is more like 40% not 10! Or maybe, they could change the suspects in the Clue game. Lets see, It was Whitey, in the factory, with layoffs! Or maybe we could change the game Guess who? to Guess who needs a bailout! Or how about Sorry, it would be Sorry, we need your money to give to people who don't work!

I just don't see how this guy is going to make it work. It sure feels like we are getting off on the wrong foot here!!!

And that's how I see it!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Merry Christmas everyone! With all the commercialization of this Christmas holiday, sometimes we lose sight of what Christmas is all about. Remember that Christ is the reason! His birth, coming down from Heaven to be with man. What a gift!!

Weeeell it has been busy...

Yeah, yeah I know it's been a couple of weeks since I last posted. With work and the weather, I have just been too busy. Also I haven't been to good on the diet thing. I think I have gone back up a couple of times. I will be back on the horse come the new year though. And I will be trying as much as possible the rest of this week and next. One thing I would like to share with everyone is this:

He is just the best looking beagle I have ever seen. His name is Reagan, and he loves to eat hippies!! HA! We had to give him to the kids early since this was all over the ground with more to come tomorrow:

We have a total of 14 inches. Now I know that is a pittance compared to some of you who live in the northeast. But, they just are not set up out here to deal with this kind of snow fall. Our streets still have not been plowed or sanded. first we got a about 10 inches, then an inch of ice, then 4 inches of new snow. It is truly amazing. I guess we are going to get another 2 to 5 inches. Calgon take me away to... Cancun
